SOUNDBAR: SONOS PLAYBAR

Sonos is the industry leader in creating powerful, easy-to-use wireless home audio products. While the Sonos One and similar products are great at bringing quality sound to any room, for better performance and versatility, you can’t go wrong with the Playbar. The Playbar is a mountable soundbar that can serve as the hub of your entire home audio system. You can use Sonos’ Trueplay software to have the Playbar automatically tune itself for the best possible sound in any space. Explore how you can control the Playbar with your phone, a remote, and more, or experiment by connecting it to any other speakers linked to your home’s wireless network.

OUTDOOR AUDIO: JAMES LOUDSPEAKER

It may be winter now, but spring will be here before you know it, and you can make any sunny season brighter by installing an outdoor audio system. One of our favorite outdoor audio brands is James Loudspeaker, and they have several product lines that can bring your music to your home’s exterior spaces.

James Loudspeaker developed its first Hi-Fi quality landscape audio system in 2005, and a year later, they unveiled their first line of subterranean subwoofers. Now their portfolio includes three major product groups: The All-Terrain (AT) Series of landscape speakers, their UnderEave outdoor architectural speakers, and the Subterranean (ST) Series of buried subwoofers.

AT Series speakers are placed in your landscape while remaining fully out of sight. For full weather protection, the speakers use a dual-extruded aluminum enclosure with a heavy powder coating.

UnderEave speakers have the same rugged durability as the AT Series, but the speakers are mounted on something like a covered deck or wall. The company makes UnderEave speakers from aircraft-grade aluminum and gives them a powder coating to provide marine-grade protection from the elements.

Lastly, there are the ST Series subwoofers. These subwoofers are, as the name implies, buried in your yard to provide some extra pop at the low end of your sound system without disturbing your outdoor aesthetic. All you or your guests will see is a small hooded port, all the while the subwoofer delivers the high-performance sound James Loudspeaker is known for.

IN-WALL SPEAKERS: SONANCE

High-end audio products are incredible feats of engineering, but not everyone wants their components to be seen. If you want a clean, invisible look for your home theater or media room, in-ceiling or in-wall speakers from Sonance are an excellent option.

Sonance has been primarily known as an outdoor audio brand, but recently they’ve developed new products for indoor use. Sonance’s Invisible Series speakers are mounted flush with your wall or ceiling surface, then finished over to become effectively invisible. This approach allows for a cleaner installation with less clutter around your room, and they work with Sonos whole-home audio systems for easy integration. In fact, Sonos recently announced that they’ve developed a new line of residential components called Sonos Architectural by Sonance. There are speakers made for both indoor and outdoor use, and each model works with the Sonos Amp for easy system integration.
